I’m sharing a great interview from SBS News, as some of the best advice I can offer is for job seekers, and those embarking upon the next stage in their learning path, to be aware of what employers are looking for. Being mindful of future career opportunities empowers the individual to be proactive and pragmatic agents of their career identity. It allows the individual in transition to work on their transferable skills and to train in the direction of work that exists and appeals.
Melissa Everett describes this career behaviour as “career entrepreneurship”, a skill that can be learned by paying attention to a range of practices that includes active and effficient networking.
