KYCC engages Media Experts
In our first episode Media experts, Lachlan Watts and Jemima Nash, talk to Founder and Principal Career Coach, Karen Lomas, about her professional background and the creation of Karen Your Career Coach (KYCC). Karen Your Career Coach began around 8 years ago, as a private professional business, supporting students and job seekers in Melbourne.
Very quickly the brand gained recognition. Karen and her Associates at Karen Your Career Coach now support individuals in education from year 8 (age 13/4) all the way through to post-graduate study, recruitment, and beyond. Clients living around Australia, South Africa, the USA, France and the UK are lucky enough to have been supported, in career transition, with the sound support and deep knowledge that KYCC brings.
Podcasting is the Way – Instagram too!
Podcasts are a great way to get career information to our audiences. Plus the KYCC job and careers podcast is timely. There is a lot happening in the world of education and employment, not least due to the emergence of the Covid-19 global pandemic. KYCC showed incredible agility in pivoting to online career coaching as early as March 2020.
With the rapid business growth that occurred, in private coaching, as well as providing professional consulting in Victorian State schools, all across the state, Karen has now expanded the business. The jobs news and careers information podcast is just one in a number of initiatives that Karen has launched in a matter of months. In fact, there is also now a beautifully branded KYCC Instagram feed. This has lots of quick tips, inspirational quotes and fun photos. After all, fun is good!
